A long-visiting bird to the dike was a female Ruby-throated Hummingbird. I managed to get a few shots of her visiting the Orange Jewelweed and the Evening Primrose. People have been seeing multiple hummingbirds on the dike for a little while now. Other birds of interest seen were 3 Hooded Mergansers, two fly-by's and one foraging juvenile, a Savannah Sparrow, and a Green Heron. There were also a few juvenile Willow Flycatchers.
In the way of dragonflies there were very many Blue Dashers as always, a few Twelve-spotted Skimmers, and an Orange Sulphur and a Monarch in the way of butterflies.
